we've always talk about meeting up someday, but with me going away to australia to study this year, the possiblity of that seems pretty slim, sigh. but i hope we did talk a lot this year? Despite the fact I am quite often subject to your unmitigated insults, I know it's out of love (although, would it kill you to throw me a bone every now and then? :P).

sooooo haha every year i try to confess my heart and soul and every year i end up being a giant goofball >:( SO THIS YEAR i am going to pour it all out.

at first when i met you, i really didn't expect us to become such close friends and really didn't expect to rely on you this much. what i mean is, you seemed shy and i am more outgoing and i dont usually bother much with shy people (although jojo itaki and you 3 are kind of an exception) BUT SOMEHOW i just ended up dragging all three of you all across msn and hahaha that was the fun times (i dont even have msn on my laptop anymore sobs). but anyway YES something pulled me towards you and you have become such a big part of my life. haha it may not seem so with me spending so little time online because lazybutt and with you being overwhelmed by school, but the truth is when people act like they dont give two shits for me, i dont take it to heart. because i think, "i have jy with me anyway, who needs them"

i swear i am going to meet you someday (I WONT JUST STOP AT ONE PICTURE ON MY HARD) and i will sit in a cafe and talk to you about music and books and ANIME and maybe even watch a few episodes together (5cm per second?) hahaha.

by the time you read this, i think you wouldn't feel as unfamiliar with your new surroundings as you would at the start, but if you still do, remember that people are nice and they are always willing to take in a new friend! so if people are just nice to you, then try to get more out of it, like a friendship (and if it's a guy, maybe a relationship? ahhha)

2012 has been a roller coaster ride like FOR REAL holy shit

LET'S START FROM THE TOP SHALL WE

1) You left the academy. You used to teach English and you were pretty bummed out when you were booted out of the company lol. (But hey, the present you, no regrets!) Idk how the students are already. I kinda miss them.

2) Consequently, you bummed around and eventually landed a job in a school, like a real school this time! As in students in uniforms, little kids, tweens, teens. AND TEACHERS. I can still remember I used to be like, "o shit this is not a good idea?" BOY WAS I SOOOO WRONG. Taking the job has been a pretty swell decision if I do say so myself! Although, coughadminproblemscough lol! Never midn that because your colleagues-turned-friends have never been nicer to you. They're amazing, wonderful people and I'm so glad you and I had met them!

Now the job itself -- again, I applaud you for not backing out. /whips out slowclap.gif/ You were uncertain whether you could handle kids aged 4-6 years old. Guess what? You got the hang of it and now I'm actually enjoying my job, being constantly surrounded by kids. They're the most adorable, most innocent children! You can't help but just squish their cute little cheeks and shower them with hugs. The best part is that they do the same thing to you, too. Hugs and kisses have never been more fantastic! :">

Remember just how awkward you were around the kids? The people around you have been nothing short of amazing, guiding and helping you, though not very thoroughly but that's okay. At least you learned as you discovered the nature of your job. 8)

There are cases and reports, sure, but the children have been really good so far. I JUST. TAKING THIS JOB HAS BEEN THE BEST DECISION EVER, MY DEAR. Stick around for another year, please? Never mind the admin problems -- the kids really make your day with their smiles and hugs!

What comes after? Study abroad with a scholarship? Study here while working? Who knows? A whole path full of adventures awaits you in 2013. (ASSUMING WE DON'T GET WIPED OUT ON DEC 21 LMAO)

3) You finally have a Canon EOS 600D. I'M CREY AYO WASSUP HOW LONG HAVE I'VE BEEN WANTING THIS??? 5, 6 YEARS? MORE??? You earned that for your own with your own money. Good job, Elaine. /pats back awkwardly lol

4) NEW FANDOM ALERT: EXO. Lots of firsts with this group! llow me to cite examples: 1) Your Twitter had/has been esp cray ever since their invasion tbfh (first time you got jailed was during MAMA AND THEY WEREN'T EVEN ON YET??? lol). 2) SO PRODUCTIVE WITH FICS OMG? (well productive already by my standards lol). 3) YOU JUST SPENT 11K+ PHP ON TIX JUST TO SEE EXO SAY WAT. 4) RECORD HIGH FEELS!!! Dear future self,

What did you choose in the end? Did you get a job here, or did you get into that programme and go to work in Japan? No matter the case, I believe that you made the choice after careful consideration. Even though you may be going through certain difficulties right now, don't regret your choice. This is just a phase of life you will go through and move on from. Take in whatever you can to grow and mature in life. Oh and did you pass N1? If you did, good job! If not, don't feel down! Don't be afraid to push forward and cross that hurdle in sight - and this can apply to a lot of other things too. I hope that you're still exercising weekly too.

In the meantime, don't forget to have fun and relax. But knowing how easy-going you always try to be, I suppose the bigger worry should be to not slack too much lol. Work hard, play hard right? 2012 was an eventful year, literally. Let me remind you that you personally met the likes of Dagero, Kishio, Piko, Laruku (okay technically a concert but so what?), and a bunch of other awesome (online) friends too. Plus you finally went on that graduation trip with your best-best friend, and made it to an event there too. Wow. Hopefully in 2013, you'll have a bunch of (crazy) great memories to look back on too. And that you'll get to look forward to planning another overseas trip in 2014.

Don't forget to depend on others when you need to, rather than burying everything in a corner. You are blessed to have family and friends who love you. Treasure them, and if you happened to drift apart from certain people, don't be afraid to take the initiative. Lastly, don't lose sight of your dreams. Continue to work on your ideas. I look forward to seeing you in 2013.

geez part of me is glad that 2012 is over because I HAVE MORE TIME NOW (I THINK... until I get a job pfft) but tbh, I felt pretty angry at myself because I pushed aside many things and blamed school for the lack of time to do them, when I think that if I had better time management I most probably would have been able to accomplish. and those things consisted of keeping in touch with friends like yourself!! cries, in this entire year, I began to realise that perhaps I didn't know my friends too well (it's a depressing thought ;;) so in 2013 and the future years to come, I'll work towards correcting that. This time I'll be the one chasing after you Ren, so watch out!! ;)))
