Thinking about what happened this year, at the end of 2012, was surreal because you couldn't remember where you were at this time last year. You were in law school, you could vaguely remember, but you didn't remember very much of what was going on in your head, or your thoughts and dreams. 2012 was a years of ups and downs and upheavals, and more changes in a short span of time than you could possibly believe. It was a year of joy -- you met people you considered good friends for the first time face to face, you got a job, you began to look to the future -- but in some ways it was a year of sorrow, of ends (or beginnings in disguise).
But you've never believed in things happening without a reason. You put the "fortune" in Wheel of Fortune, and you will always find a way to turn bad luck into good. Remember this: right now, I am happy. If this finds you on a day when things are dark and less hopeful, remember that you always have tomorrow to hold out for.
You promised yourself 2013 would be different, because you've chosen to approach it with a plan. You've never been one for plans, but hopefully it worked out better than you expected it to. Hopefully you met new people, found new opportunities, managed to be a better person.
Keep moving forward, whatever happens. (Also, stop getting so many tattoos, you should space them out more.)
