Despite all the times you thought you wouldn't, you've made it through this year (and through school, dear lord.). And that's fantastic. And by the time you read this, you will have made it through another year! Whoo!
Only hopefully, you won't be saying 'made it through.' You'll be saying something like 'I FREAKING FROLICKED MY WAY THROUGH THAT SHIT LIKE NO ONE HAS EVER FROLICKED BEFORE!!' Because there's so much good stuff set up for 2013.
I know you're a bit scared right now. Okay, maybe even terrified. Please have faith in yourself. Have faith in others too, okay? It'll all work out just fine. Be excited, because you have an incredible adventure ahead!
As for all this anxiety? I want you to scrunch that shit up and throw it out the window. ...Okay, I know it's not exactly as easy as that. But look at all the people you have in your life that love you. Think really hard on that. Would they be here if you weren't worth anything? Please try to love yourself even a fraction as much as they love you.
Use this year to think really, really hard about what you want to get out of life. Stay involved! Especially with acting, if you can. Don't lose touch with your friends and don't lose sight of what's truly important to you.
There's been lots of tears this past year. Too many. You need to find a happier you, and to do that, you need to- I reiterate- think hard about what you want and what will make you happy. Be honest with yourself, even if it's hard. If you can do that, I'll remain so very proud of you.
I want you to become the strong person you know you are deep down. I don't want you to shut yourself off from people, but it couldn't hurt to stop caring so deeply what everyone thinks. ...Although I know that when it comes to some individuals, that's pretty much impossible. Bah!! You know what I mean by all this, anyway.
You were having trouble coming up with a New Years resolution earlier, but I think I have one for you now.
